CreditCards.com hired SF Landmark to help them with a national TV spot. They needed three large full color practical credit cards, front and back, complete with embossed silver lettering. The cards also needed to have perfectly fitting, no visible edges, holes for the face and arms of each of 3 actors. The actors needed to be able to move and speak comfortably inside these rigid plastic cards.
To meet this challenge, SF Landmark designed a jig that allowed us to accurately photograph each actor in the position they would be filmed in. We used photographs to draw the edges of their features and scale them for a CNC router machine file. From there we reached into our extensive materials inventory we keep in house. We conducted several test cuts to fine-tune the shapes and test fitted the actors until everything was perfect.
SF Landmark’s ingenuity delivered against the demanding production standards required for this unique challenge. Harnessing both our “old school” hand skills and digital techniques and tools, we were able to produce special touches such as chrome painted half-round-face custom dimensional lettering, and large format color printing with high production standards.
